Do you have an interest in history and heritage? Do you like working with the public and want to get involved? Become a volunteer at the Merry House!

Open to the public since 2018, the Merry House is a citizen memorial site that presents Magog’s history and that of the region, from the time of the Indigenous peoples and American settlers, up to today. A property of the City of Magog, the oldest house in urban Magog is managed by the Corporation de la maison Merry. Its mission is to develop and promote the Maison Merry for the benefit of Magog’s residents and visitors, through a variety of fun and interactive exhibitions and activities.

MANDATE OVERVIEW

In collaboration with the Merry House team, the volunteers perform reception, information, ticketing, store, and security services during regular activities and special events.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Interest in heritage and working with the public
• Computer literate (without being an expert)
• Proficient in French, functional English

CONDITIONS AND ADVANTAGES

• Available twice a month, on Saturdays or Sundays.

• Free admission to exhibitions and special events
