COVID-19 | Museum sector exempt from vaccine passport
NEWS IN BRIEF / AUGUST 24, 2021
The Société des musées du Québec has learned that museums and libraries will not be subject to the application of the vaccine passport that will come into effect in certain public places in Quebec on September 1. However, it will be required in the following places: biodomes, planetariums, insectariums, botanical gardens, zoos, aquariums and similar places.
In light of the increase in cases of COVID-19 due mainly to the Delta variant, government authorities confirmed the implementation of the vaccine passport on September 1st during a press briefing by the Minister of Health and Social Services, Christian Dubé, the National Director of Public Health, Dr. Horacio Arruda, and the Director of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Quebec, Daniel Paré.
In addition, proof of vaccination will be required to attend the following public places: entertainment venues, festivals, movie theatres, training rooms, restaurants and bars.
